COORG:- SCOTLAND OF THE EAST
To the west of Mysore and the east of Kasaragod, along the eastern slopes of the Western ghats, sits the district of Kodagu, or more popularly as it is known, Coorg. This district is one of the richest places in terms of sights. Dotted with rolling hills, waterfalls, resorts, various rivers, historic buildings, parks, and even a riverine island, Coorg provides a rich variety of enjoyment and merriness. Though Coorg is nourished by various rivers, the main river in the region is Kaveri, which rises at TalaKaveri, located in Kodagu itself.
